Guelph
We will start the congress in Guelph, Ontario, a city of 120,000 about 100 km west of Toronto. Guelph is a major centre for agriculture and life sciences in Canada, home to the renowned research institution University of Guelph, most major agricultural organizations, as well as provincial and federal agricultural ministries. The city was founded in 1827 and is located in Ontario’s agricultural heartland.
Niagara Falls
After tours to different regions of Ontario, everyone will re-join together in Niagara Falls for the final events of the congress. Our hotel overlooks the world famous Niagara Falls, a natural phenomenon second in size only to Victoria Falls in Africa and a must see on any visitor’s list. The Niagara region is also home to a wide array of high value specialty agriculture, including fruit, vegetable and wine, and a growing culinary and agri-tourism industry.
